Matthew 11.28

Jesus does not shame tired people. He invites them. He says, “Come to me.” That means peace does not begin with trying harder. Peace begins with bringing your tired heart to Jesus.

Yesterday, we talked about how we all bring something into the room. Stress spreads. Hurry spreads. Pressure spreads. But peace can spread too.

Today, name what feels heavy in your heart. Then bring it to Jesus before you bring it into the room.

🌿 Jesus, I come to you tired and honest. Calm my heart today. Help me receive your peace before I walk into the rooms around me.

John 14.27

Jesus gives a peace the world cannot give. The world offers escape, distraction, control, or temporary relief. Jesus offers something deeper. He gives peace that can steady your heart even when life is not easy.

This week’s message reminded us that what happens in us often comes out of us. When Jesus gives peace to our hearts, we can bring peace to others.

Today, pause before one stressful moment and pray for the peace of Jesus.

🕊️ Jesus, thank you for giving peace that this world cannot give. Settle what feels anxious in me. Help me carry your peace into every room I enter.

Philippians 4.6-7

Paul tells us to bring everything to God in prayer. Not just the big things. Not just the spiritual things. Everything. When we bring our worries to God, his peace guards our hearts and minds.

A guarded heart does not mean a closed heart. It means a heart protected by the peace of God.

Today, turn one worry into a prayer. Say it honestly. Then ask God to guard your heart before it spills onto others.

🧭 God, I bring you what worries me today. Guard my heart and mind with your peace. Help me respond from trust instead of pressure.

Thursday, May 14

Colossians 3.15

Paul says to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. That means peace is not just a feeling we wait for. It is a leader we choose to follow.

Sometimes stress wants to rule. Hurry wants to rule. Fear wants to rule. But followers of Jesus can let peace have the final word.

Today, ask yourself, “What is ruling my heart right now?” Then invite the peace of Christ to lead.

🪨 Jesus, let your peace rule in my heart today. Quiet the voices of fear, hurry, and pressure. Help me bring calm where I would normally bring stress.

Romans 12.18

Paul says, “If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” We cannot control every person. We cannot control every room. But we can pay attention to what we bring into it.

Peace does not mean avoiding hard conversations. Peace means entering those conversations with a heart that has been calmed by Jesus.

Today, think about one person or room that feels tense. Pray before you enter it.

🌅 God, help me live at peace as much as it depends on me. Calm my reactions. Soften my words. Help me bring the peace of Jesus into hard places.

Saturday, May 16

2 Thessalonians 3.16

Paul calls Jesus the Lord of peace. That means peace is not just something Jesus gives. Peace is part of who he is. When we come close to Jesus, we come close to peace.

This matters because we cannot carry what we have not received. We cannot bring peace into the room if we never receive peace from Jesus first.

Today, slow down for a few minutes. Breathe. Pray. Receive the peace Jesus wants to give.

🕯️ Jesus, you are the Lord of peace. Give me your peace today. Help me stop rushing past your presence. Let your calm become what I carry.

Sunday, May 17

Matthew 5.9

Jesus says peacemakers are blessed. Peacemakers do not just avoid conflict. They carry the peace of God into places where stress, pressure, fear, and division have been loud.

This is the kind of church we want to become. A peaceful presence in a stressed-out valley. A people who receive peace from Jesus and bring peace to others.

Today, ask God to make you a peaceful presence in one specific room this week.

🌊 Jesus, make me a peacemaker today. Calm my heart so I can calm the room. Help Passion Church bring your peace to homes, families, workplaces, and Palm Springs.
